Then apply for the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp!
Travel period: 2 weeks in August (estimated date: August 16th - 30th, 2024)
Itinerary: Beijing 北京
You will spend two exciting weeks in China, with sightseeing, Chinese language classes and a varied cultural programme. And we've saved the best to last: You pay nothing for your stay in China because the Beijing Foreign Studies University covers all the costs.
The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp is an educational and cultural trip for secondary school students. The Confucius Institute Munich has been organising this special China journey since 2009. The participants collect intercultural experiences, and experience the foreign culture directly and authentically.
The two-week camp takes place annually in August. The group flies with German-speaking supervisors from Munich airport. The itinerary within China varies, but generally includes a stay in Beijing with a visit to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. A Chinese language course, workshops (calligraphy, tai chi, martial arts and music), excursions and meetings with Chinese students guarantee that everyone stays busy. The students experience the culture of traditional and modern China up close.
All costs during the stay in China are covered (accomodation, meals, transportation, entry fees etc)
The costs for flights, visa (only for stays longer than 2 weeks necessary), an obligatory travel health and liability insurance and pocket money.
The flight is organised and booked by the Confucius Institute Munich.
Anyone between the ages of 16 and 30 who is learning Chinese at school or in their free time (no Chinese nationality) can apply. Proof of language proficiency must be provided with an HSK certificate (at least HSK 1) by the start of the trip.
The number of participants is limited.
Applicants who have no knowledge of Chinese at the time of application can take a course at the Confucius Institute Munich and pass an HSK1 test.
