Then apply for the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp 2025!
Travel period: 2 weeks during the Easter holidays 2025 (expected date: 12th - 26th April 2025)
Itinerary: Shanghai
You will spend two exciting weeks in China, with sightseeing, Chinese language classes and a varied cultural programme. And we've saved the best to last: You pay nothing for your stay in China because the Beijing Foreign Studies University covers all the costs.
The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp is an educational and cultural trip organized by East China Normal University. The Confucius Institute Munich has been organising this special China journey since 2009. The participants collect intercultural experiences, and experience the foreign culture directly and authentically.
The group flies with German-speaking supervisors from Munich airport. The itinerary within China varies, but generally includes a stay in Shanghai. A Chinese language course, along with workshops in calligraphy, Tai Chi, martial arts, and music, plus exciting excursions and opportunities to meet Chinese students, guarantee an enriching and engaging experience. The students experience the culture of traditional and modern China up close.
All costs during the stay in China are covered (accomodation, meals, transportation, entry fees etc).
The sponsor of the Summer Camp is the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC).
Participants are responsible for covering the costs of their flight ticket, visa (only for stays over 2 weeks), international health and liability insurance, as well as pocket money.
The flight is organised and booked by the Confucius Institute Munich.
Cancellation: You can cancel your booking free of charge at any time up to six weeks before the official departure date.
Students aged between 14 and 19 from the Bavarian region (without Chinese citizenship) are eligible to apply.
The number of participants is limited. Applicants who are enrolled in courses at the Confucius Institute Munich will be given preference during the selection process.
Applicants who do not yet possess Chinese language skills at the time of application can enroll in a language course at the Confucius Institute Munich and take an HSK1 test.
Participation in the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp requires an HSK1 / YCT certificate. If you do not have a language certificate yet, please provide us with your planned HSK exam date during registration (the latest exam date for the Summer Camp is in February 2025).
