Chinese Bridge (汉语桥) is an international language competition for school and university students, held annually by the Chinese Ministry of Education. It offers students from around the world the opportunity to come together and showcase their Chinese language skills on an international stage. The winners of the national competitions are invited to China to participate in the final round.
There are separate competitions for high school students and those in higher education.
Since its first edition in 2002, the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition for University Students has become an important platform for students to showcase their Chinese language skills and foster cultural exchange. This year, the 24th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition for University Students in Germany is organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Confucius Institute Munich.
Schedule
Participants and accompanying teachers are invited to Munich.
The organizing committee will cover the costs for round-trip train travel, accommodation, and meals during the competition.
Registration Deadline
The registration form must be submitted to the Confucius Institute Munich via email (hanyuqiao2025(at)konfuzius-muenchen.de) no later than March 1, 2025.
Audience members are warmly welcome!
Each participant will have a total of 12 minutes:
One first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes will be awarded.
The winner of the first prize will represent the German region at this year’s global final in China.

For School Students:
There are two different competitions: Students and pupils will compete in two separate competitions. The language proficiency level for participants in the university competition should be at least HSK 5. Participants in the competition for pupils should have at least HSK 4 proficiency and possess good oral expression skills.
